When degaussing, the storage media are flooded with a very strong magnetic field that far exceeds their own magnetic force, the coercivity of the hard disk. The short and strong pulse erases the data on the hard disk irrevocably. Degaussing is characterized above all by the simple operation and minimal space requirements, which also allows for its use in an office environment.

Auditor-Pro generates a proof-of-erasure and destruction certificate for audit and archival purposes with date, time, user ID, serial
number and JPG images of media after demagnetization.
-Barcode scanner captures hard drive serial number prior to erasure process
-Tracks and stores media serial numbers, user ID, witness ID, and date in a password-protected system
-Automated image capture system captures images of demagnetized hard drives as soon as the media drawer is opened
-Informs operator and records the erasure results immediately after each cycle with green (Pass) or red (Fail)
